Privacy policy

This policy explains how 3D AR Viewer handles Shopify store data to provide 3D and AR product viewer functionality. For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact [email protected].

Data we access

• Product data needed to select products and display product titles, handles, statuses, and images in the embedded app.
• Shopify Files access needed to upload, process, replace, and remove merchant-provided 3D model files.
• Product metafields used to store viewer status, GLB URLs, USDZ URLs, Shopify file IDs, and accessible alt text.
• Shop domain and app session records needed to authenticate the merchant and operate the embedded app.

How data is used

Data is used only to provide app functionality: uploading model files to Shopify, attaching model URLs to products, showing setup status, and rendering the theme app block on product pages.

3D AR Viewer does not sell merchant data, does not use merchant data for unrelated advertising, and does not request customer, order, payment, or checkout data for its core workflow.

Data sharing and subprocessors

The app stores 3D model files in Shopify Files and stores product configuration in Shopify product metafields. App session records are stored in the app database so Shopify OAuth can work securely. We do not share merchant data with third-party services except infrastructure providers required to host, secure, and operate the app.

Security and retention

The app uses Shopify OAuth, Shopify session-token based embedded app authentication, HTTPS transport, and Shopify APIs. Store data is retained only as needed to provide the 3D/AR viewer workflow, support merchant requests, and meet legal or security obligations.

Uninstall and deletion

When the app is uninstalled, app sessions are deleted after Shopify sends the uninstall webhook. Merchants can remove model metafields and app-uploaded Shopify Files from the embedded app before uninstalling. Merchants can also request deletion assistance by emailing [email protected].
